About Maribel

Hi there! My name is Maribel and I am 29 years old. I am a super friendly, energetic and positive person. I have 4+ years experience working as a paraeducator/substitute teacher for students aged TK-5. I am very comfortable with teaching letter sounds/identification, numbers, colors, reading, writing, some math (K-3) and practicing SEL (social emotional learning). I am super passionate when it comes to practicing ABAR (Anti-Biased Anti-Racist) work inside and outside of the classroom/home. I can help with shopping, running errands, carpool, planning/organizing, cleaning, light cooking and laundry. I speak Spanish (intermediate) and took a year of ASL while in college (beginner). In my free time I love to be outside and enjoy long walks and runs. With me your child will have so much fun while learning/being cared for. As a patient and understanding person, I love to create a safe and welcoming environment that is unique to each child's personality/emotions.
