About Maria

As an early childhood education major at Kent State, I have taken classes regarding the most successful methods of learning for grade school students (and below), and feel confident in my ability to apply this knowledge in a variety of areas. I was referred by university faculty to become a tutor for the first and second basic math concepts courses. These classes aim to inform teachers of a variety of different affective ways to educate students on math concepts taught in Ohio from early development through grade school. Additionally, I have made the deans list multiple times throughout my learning at Kent State. Before college, I took multiple AP classes whilst in high school earning a three on the AP US history exam, a four on the AP environmental science exam, and a four on the AP Literature exam. I feel this proves my competency in providing academic aide to students in or below grade school!
