About Maria

My name is Maria, and I am 24 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in education. I have 5+ years of caretaking and babysitting experience, working with numerous families directly and through agencies. Particularly, I have extensive work experience caring for individuals living with physical and intellectual disabilities. I have experience giving medication as scheduled, building daily routines, and overall promoting independence. Previously, I worked as a respite worker through a nonprofit agency. There, I cared for a 10-year-old with Angelman syndrome and an 11-year-old with Autism. I am also comfortable caring for multiple children of different abilities. In the past, I have cared for an8-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 16-year-old with special needs. I assisted with homework, light housekeeping, and meal prep.
