Hello, Families! Here's a little bit about me: I'm passionate about supporting children's development by addressing their behavior and providing helpful feedback to parents, all with the goal of helping kids grow and thrive. I'm very active, love spending time outdoors, and believe in keeping children engaged with fun, healthy activities. I'm always learning more about child behavior to better understand and support their needs. I've had the privilege of volunteering in some truly meaningful ways, such as in equine therapy, guiding individuals with blindness or low vision, working with children with Down syndrome, and as part of 'payamédicos' (medical clowns). These experiences have only deepened my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about how I work or my approach to caring for children. Maria
Maria (goes by Luchi) is a special person and I cannot thank her enough for what she has done for our family. My wife and I moved from Cleveland to San Francisco with our three children, ages 1, 3, and 5. We were going through many changes, new house, new neighborhood, new jobs, new schools, new social circles, etc. Luchi was the diamond in the rough. She was a full-time nanny for us working between 40-70 hours per week for about one year. My wife and I are physicians with difficult schedules and variable work hours. Luchi was never late and never called off. She is extremely dependable. Her love for the children was nothing short of amazing. Our 5 year old daughter had significant anxiety in the beginning of the year. Luchi was able to see through it, even with the first month being a rough adjustment and the 5 year old making things very challenging. She worked with our daughter and all of the kids and was a significant part of their emotional development. She focused on enriching their minds spending time on provoking academic and creative thought, working on homework, arts and crafts, visits to museums and the zoo, etc. etc. Luchi always kept a close eye on them and safety was a priority (it is not easy to keep three kids safe in a bustling neighborhood of San Francisco). Most importantly, Luchi loved the children and us. She is truly family. We were very sad to move to Southern California but she will always be our Aunt Luchi.
