About Maria

Hi, My name is Maria - I am originally from Sweden and Croatia. I have lived in NYC since 2010 and completed my B. Sc at CUNY while working as a nanny full-time. I have a total of seven years of both paid and unpaid experience working with children and youth. I was a volunteer teacher in creative writing for children residing at homeless shelters in Queens for many years. After graduating, I worked as a nanny for another two years and then moved in to non-profit work. Currently, I am with an organization focused on early education work. I will be starting my graduate journey at SIPA, Columbia and am looking to go back to nannying while in school. I have always loved nannying and being a part of a child's/family's life. I've worked with families who've had multiple children and am comfortable caring for children of all ages. All 7 years of nannying experience has been in Manhattan.
