About Maria

I would describe my personality as diligent, sincere, and attentive. I like working with kids because I have an affinity for helping and teaching whenever I can. Being a mother was incredibly fulfilling for me and I would love the opportunity to assist other children and ensure they feel safe and supported. I'm looking for a job that allows for me to apply the skills I have learned in my life. A job that both challenges me yet makes me feel secure would be ideal. I started working with kids when I was a English as a Second Language teacher in Venezuela for children in kindergarten all the way to 6th Grade. In my spare time, I like to cook food, spend time with my loved ones, and read books when I can. One thing you should know about me is I am very eager to apply myself to whatever it is that is thrown my way, whether this be teaching kids Spanish or learning new skills. My skills include interpersonal skills, effective age-appropriate communication, and active listening.
