About Maria

Hello! I currently attend San Diego State University with a double major in Comparative International Studies and Spanish, with an Honors Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies. I will be graduating in May 2024. I have previously worked as a student counselor in an elementary school for over a year and a half, where I alone oversaw large groups of children from 3 to 11 years old. I was responsible for planning large group activities, setting up crafts, helping with homework, and facilitating snack time. I also worked closely with special needs students in this position. In addition to this, I recently taught English as a foreign language to students ranging from elementary to university ages in various schools and orphanages in Cusco, Peru. I have always enjoyed working with children and I know I will succeed in any position doing so! I am confident that I can be the responsible, driven, fun caregiver you are looking for! I am looking for a full-time position beginning summer 2024!
