About Maria

Hi, my name is Mary P. and I am passionate about working with children. I've worked with newborn, toddlers, preschoolers, and children of elementary school age. This has been rewarding for me because I've been able to use my teaching skills in combination with my mom skills. I've two children, one boy and one girl. I'm proud to share that my daughter graduated from Harvard. My degree is in Early Childhood Education. I know how important it is to find a wonderful caregiver who is nurturing, responsible, respectful, kind, honest, hard working, and places the children first. I believe I have those qualities. I have loads of energy and am a loving and organized individual. My goal is to have each child develop respect for himself and others and grow with a sense of confidence. I am also passionate about reading. Daily reading to a child opens a world of adventure, increases vocabulary and promotes fertile ground for learning. I am fluent in Spanish and happy to help with light housework.
