About Maria

I was an elementary school teacher for 8 years where I taught Dual Language English/Spanish. I am passionate about helping kids learn in engaging activities where they are having fun while learning. I specially love instilling the love of reading in children. I can tutor in spanish/english literacy, help with homework, or just entertain children with fun games while you are out. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules, my approach is to build a relationship of trust and respect with your child. I use positive reinforcement and positive redirection to motivate appropriate behavior. Seeing children thrive brings me immense joy, and I'd love to partner with your family to create a positive and enriching environment for your child. I also love dogs, so I can help taking care of those family members as well! I can provide references.
