As a caregiver, my experience has been self-rewarding. Many times, I feel good about myself because I believe that I have made a difference in someone's life. Being a caregiver offers me the opportunity to give physical, emotional and even spiritual support to a loved one needing help. I am also an advocate for the quality and well-being of a loved one. I have volunteered in the past assisting senior citizens. We participated in activities such as playing with puzzles and bingo. There were times we spent reading, dancing, walking or talking. I enjoyed it and learned a great deal from them. I love my grandmother dearly and she was the one who helped me in the past. I want to continue loving her in others. `Finally, being a caregiver has made me want to further my education and become a nurse, so I can care for those in need. Thank you

I strongly recommend Maria for someone needing nursing care in their home. She has been helping me the last few years with my seizure disorder. She not only helps me by taking care of all of my needs when I am completely dependent while having an episode, but she also assists me with taking me to my doctors appointments, assist me with daily needs, light house work and companionship on a daily basis since I am home bound. She is a great human being who is trustworthy and very caring. You cannot find anyone better than her to care for you or your family member. Because I have another caregiver and family to help me the other days of the week, I cannot afford to offer her more hours. I have encouraged her to take on an additional patient either part time and continue to help me two days a week or if someone needs her full time, to take that position. Although she already has a bachelor's degree, she needs these additional hours to save up for nursing school to finish her RN degree.
