Over the years, I have cared for children in different settings ranging from summer camp to an in-home sitter. The children that I have cared for have range from 3 days to 12 years old. While being a camp counselor at Fred's Camp I was given the opportunity to create and follow a daily schedule including: play time, swim lessons, music class, lunch time, and outdoor sports and recreations. It was here that I had the opportunity to use my creativity while planning interactive and educational activities, communicate with children's parents about daily activities, progress and behaviors. I also encouraged good behaviors using the positive reinforcement method. Over the time of being an in-home sitter, I was able to gain knowledge and experience working and interacting with families of different size and style. I have worked for the same family with four children for three years. I am First Aid Certified and CPR certified. I have reliable transportation.

For the past nine months I have had the privilege to get to know Mariana very well. She is someone within our sorority that I know as President I can always depend on when it comes to either tasks for the chapter or simply a sister in need. She is committed to her loved ones and puts forth her full effort to give to those around her. After getting to know her better these past few months I learned about her family life and the compassion and dedication she has to helping her family whether they are near or far, no matter the age. It is my great privilege to not only be able to call Mariana a sister, but a friend as well. She would do well in any setting, helping anyone.
