About Mariamu

Hello there! My name is Mariamu. I am a 3rd year medical student at UCR with a BS in Neuroscience from UCLA. I have 8 years of experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college-level courses. Additionally, I have experience working with Special Education students and Test Prep. Working as a STEM tutor, I love assisting students improve their academic performance by discerning gaps within their comprehension. I tutor a variety of subjects and show students learning can be fun and interesting. Some courses available for tutoring: English, Reading and Writing Comprehension, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, etc. Understanding each student has varying challenges and levels of understanding, I focus on personally connecting students to the material is the goal.
