About Maria

We had an incredibly unprofessional and frustrating experience with Maria after hiring her to watch our almost 2 y/o daughter. The first few weeks, there were several discrepancies between what we asked her to do in caring for our daughter and what was actually done (using the excuse multiple times that there were detours on the way to our daughter’s activities, etc. so they couldn’t go and then going somewhere Maria wanted to go instead), a blatant absence of responses when I would provide feedback about the care and our expectations, and ignoring of the schedule we asked her to adhere to despite clear and repeated communication. Then, the last two weeks Maria worked for us, she missed a day both weeks and attempted to charge me for full weeks. The last week, she told me on a Wednesday evening over text — after I attempted to confirm schedule with her twice the weekend prior and then spending all week in our home and around us with ample opportunity to communicate in person — that she had committed to another family for Thursdays and Fridays for several weeks, starting that week. That left us without care for the very next day, despite her commitment to us being Monday through Thursday.
