About Maria

Hey there! My name is Maria, i'm a senior at UF studying Marine Science (major) and Environmental Science (minor) graduating in the Spring of 2023. I am a certified Advanced Open Water SCUBA diver through NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors), with a recently earned Rescue Diver Certification. This Rescue Diver Certification included special training in a multitude of dive-related accidents and injuries, CPR training (adult and infant), and proper contacting of and communication with EMS. I have been paid to life guard for couple small events, and I would make a great lifeguard for small events given my rescue certifications! I also swam Varsity for my high school for 3 years, where I specialized in backstroke, so I do have a basic working knowledge of swimming as a sport and could easily instruct younger individuals. I have reliable transportation, excellent communication skills, and I am a quick learner! Thank you for taking an interest in my profile!
