About Maria

I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and have more than 12 years of experience teaching a wide range of ages. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of the Arts in Caracas, Venezuela, and both a Master of Music In Vocal Performance and a Graduate Performance Diploma from Longy School of Music of Bard College where I studied under the guidance of the soprano Jayne West. For more than 10 years, I was a choir member of the Schola Cantorum of Venezuela, with which I toured the world and had the opportunity to work with world-class conductors, composers and stage directors. I have worked for several organizations in the Boston area teaching piano, choir, voice, musicianship and Spanish. I have a big passion for education, music and languages!
