I am wanting to be a babysitter/nanny part time as well and am trying to rebuild my portfolio of caregiving and improve my experience. I have always been around children, whether it was babysitting my own siblings or my baby cousins. I have worked as a counselor for Girl Scouts summer day camps where I was in charge of teaching the kindergarteners. Maria was so sweet with my wild boys. We asked for her help so we could get some stuff done around the house. She arrived exactly when we planned. My kiddos took to her very quickly, though my littlest struggled a bit as he's entered a "mommy only" phase. At one point my oldest boy told Maria he didn't like her; he was upset I denied him a movie and was obviously tired. Thankfully, I don't think she took it personally and actually spent some one on one time with him engaging in imaginative play right after that. I'm so happy to have had Maria over and plan to schedule with her again in the next week or so.
