About Maria Helena

I'm passionate about nurturing and educating young minds, and I am a nursing student looking to one day become a Pediatric Nurse which has led me to consider becoming a caregiver. Patient and calm, I create a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and encouraged to learn. As a skilled communicator, I keep parents informed about their child's day and promptly address any concerns. I believe in consistency and follow the parents' preferred approach when it comes to enforcing household rules. I'm comfortable caring for up to two children between the ages of 0 and 11, with a particular interest in the 1-3 and 4-5 age groups. I'm fluent in both English and Portuguese. I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports, physical games, board games, and puzzles. I even love teaching children how to swim, as I'm an accomplished swimmer myself. I have my own car, and I'm comfortable with pets.
