About Maria

Hi, my name is Mia! I am a dual state certified special education teacher with eight years of experience working with children with diverse needs in a variety of settings. I am a certified teacher in both Massachusetts and New York. I attended graduate school at Mount Holyoke College where I received my Master of Arts in Teaching. I love working with children of all ages, from pre-school aged to junior high and everything in between. I have extensive training in both reading and mathematics instruction and I love using multi-sensory strategies and games to teach these subjects. I have five years of experience working with children with autism and can help with behavior management as well.
