Experienced. Passionate. Educator. I'm a licensed primary teacher with a decade of experience working with students from preschool-2nd grade (rising 3rd graders). I have a phonics certification from Groves Learning Organization which focuses on the Science of Reading and explicit phonics instruction. I love working with students to deepen their reading, writing and math skills. I'm passionate about helping students develop confidence and meeting each student's individual needs so that they can grow holistically. I'm looking to work with families who are clear communicators as we set goals for our time together. I look forward to working with families who are open to building student-teacher-parent relationships rooted in mutual respect and kindness. In my spare time, I like to explore Chicago with my husband, read, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. I would describe my personality as friendly, positive, and open-minded.
