About Maria

I am an educator, first and foremost, with over 10 years of childcare experience working with children from 2 months to 12 years old. I am a former Montessori school teacher with a passion for early literacy, including teaching toddlers to read and supporting pre-reading and phonics skills from an early age. I take a learning-centric, developmentally appropriate approach to caregiving, integrating early math skills, language development, and preschool readiness into daily routines and play. My Montessori background emphasizes child-led, hands-on learning and building confidence through mastery. I have worked one-on-one with my current long-term client since she was 18 months old. She now attends a gifted school based on IQ assessment and is earning A+ grades in math and reading at a second-grade level at age five.
