About Maria

Montessori Educator | Early Literacy & School Readiness Specialist I'm an early childhood educator, former Montessori teacher, and founder of Reading Roots Literacy Co., with over 10 years of experience working with children from infancy through elementary school. Through Reading Roots, I offer standalone, one-on-one literacy and school-readiness enrichment for children ages 1-4, separate from traditional childcare. My Montessori-inspired approach combines hands-on learning, purposeful play, and individualized instruction to develop early reading, phonics, language, pre-writing, and foundational math skills. I've worked with a student since she was 18 months old. Now 6 years old, she attends a gifted school and demonstrates fourth-grade-level reading and math skills. I'm passionate about partnering with families to build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning while giving little learners a strong educational foundation!
