About Margo

Margo came into our lives amidst a moment of pure chaos ... there were moving boxes everywhere from our fresh relocation from California to Michigan ... there was no food in the fridge, and I was feeling quite ill from fumes in the house related to the new construction. It was such a terrible scene, it was my intention to cancel with Margo when she arrived and kindly pay her and apologize. Fortunately, I was in the garage doing something when she arrived and my husband welcomed her in. In under 10 mins, she had a Mary Poppins level of control over the whole scene - she and my daughter were laughing and playing as though they had known each other forever, she easily adapted and rolled with the punches throughout the day and helped me get all clean / fed / dressed. Her capability and adaptability was awe-inspiring. Over the next few weeks, she continued with this same level of amazing care and I think my favorite thing about her, was her commitment to playing with my daughter at the park or on the nature trail near our house, or outside on the sidewalk. My daughter is not super outdoorsy and I have tried very hard to make her so, but for Margo it was easy. As a person, Margo is ebullient and kind and cheerful and funny and my daughter worships her. She does absolutely everything right, including the less fun stuff of establishing boundaries and making sure my daughter practices good manners and courtesy. In short, she's just a sheer joy to have and a meaningful help to me with basically no help or guidance on my part. She is an expert at reading the room and adapting activities that are perfect for the day / weather / mood. I recommend her highly and unequivocally.
