About Margot

Hi, my name is Margot and I'm a former preschool teacher! For the past four years I have been working as an oyster farmer - in August I started my own business doing oyster raw bars for events, and I have recently transitioned to doing that full time. My events are generally on weekends/evenings, so my availability for childcare is mainly during the week. Before working in seafood, I taught preschool for five years. I have also worked in home daycares and am comfortable with babies and older children. I am a big fan of Montessori, Waldorf, and classical educational styles, as well as outdoor education. My favorite things to do with children include reading to/with them, doing craft projects, and playing outside.
