I graduated in December of 2019 from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, a Spanish minor, and a certificate in English Learners. I enjoyed both of my student teaching placements. I taught 5th graders in Arlington Heights, IL, as well as 4th, 5th, & 6th graders in Atenas, Costa Rica. I led a Spanish class at Longfellow Elementary in Iowa City last spring, I assistant taught for two consecutive summers in Spain, and I have volunteered and worked as a tutor for children, teens, and adults. Most of my tutoring experience has been with teens and adults learning English, although I am very comfortable with the K-6 curriculum and I have experience working with elementary students in math, science, reading, SEL, and writing.
