About Margaret

Hi! I am a 4th-year student at UVA. I only have two classes this semester, so I am looking to help out as a nanny! I've been babysitting since I was 12, I'm BLS & WFA certified, and my major is speech pathology (minor in Spanish). I have learned a lot about childhood development, speech therapy, and intellectual disabilities. In 2024, I worked as a summer camp teacher from 7:30-5:30 daily. I had either the daycare(2 and 3 y. o.) or the pre-k/kinder or 1st-6th grade groups, so I feel very prepared for all ages/large groups of kids. 2025 was spent as a leader for an ATC called MA. I, along with two coleaders, had 12 kids, ages 11-14. We had total care of them for 2 weeks. I'd drive our 16-passenger van + U-haul, we'd cook all meals, get them to activities, and provide medical care. This was a great experience that allowed them to foster independence. I love all ages and feel very excited to help out in whatever family needs me!
