I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Marcelah. She is exceptional. Marcelah helped my husband and me out at the last minute when we were invited to a concert. This was a big deal for a few reasons. I am a full-time stay-at-home/work-from-home mom. I don't get out much, so I was determined to take advantage of this invite. Also, my husband and I recently moved to Las Vegas, and this wasn't just our first time on Care.com or looking for a babysitter; it was our first time having anyone who wasn't immediate family watch our one and only baby. I was incredibly anxious and fearful, but Care.com and Marcelah completely alleviated those feelings. Despite giving her only a few hours' notice, she arrived, and I immediately knew she was the right person to look after my 18-month-old son that night from 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM. She immediately became fixated on Z. (my son) as soon as she walked in after politely introducing herself. I provided her with every detail I thought she might need to know, including that my son is very sweet and well-behaved but has a habit of putting everything in his mouth. He's the kind of toddler you can't take your eyes off for even a moment, and she took that seriously. Oh, and she was right on time – not late, not too early, right on time. I finished getting ready and was out the door within about half an hour of her being there. She successfully put my son down for bed, changed him, and he slept like an angel through the night. I didn't overthink while I was gone because my mother's intuition knew he was in safe hands. We will definitely be hiring Marcelah again in the future.
