About Maraj

Hi, my name is Maraj! I am an experienced tutor and I have held a variety of positions, some of which are through my university, relating to both teaching and tutoring students of all ages. I am currently a part-time adjunct/ teachers assistant at The City College of New York. My forte is tutoring in math and science subject areas, all from elementary to college level. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry. One thing you should know about me is that I am easygoing and welcoming. Respectful and only want the best for students (grades and future outlook). My tutoring is paired with mentorship and conversations about the future of the student. My skills include 1. Conveying information/concepts in more than one way. 2. Being adaptable and meeting students where they are in their class. 3. Patience with students. Stress is dealt with in different ways and some students experience more stress than others.
