About Manuela

I graduated in May from the University of Central Florida with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Health Sciences. Within my major I was able to study Behavioral and Social Sciences, as well as Life and Biology. I will be attending graduate school at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences to earn my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree. I currently live in Orlando and plan on moving to St. Augustine in January for school. I am a caregiver for a 33-year-old woman with down syndrome and I am a homework helper for a 7 and 5-year-old sister and brother. Apart from this, I did an internship at the Conductive Education Center of Orlando, working with kids with cerebral palsy and other motor disabilities. I also volunteered at Nemours Children's Research Hospital in the Child Life Department and I have shadowed along side a pediatric occupational therapist.
