About Mallory

Growing up, my first job was as a preschool teacher at the same preschool I attended as a child. This school ascribed to the Reggio Emilia approach which focuses on supporting and following the interests of the child. I brought what I learned there with me as I began to babysit and nanny on my own, doing crafts, science experiments, and baking with the children I cared for. I've both worked consistently as a nanny, mainly for one family who I was with for over five years, but also babysitting on an as needed basis. My love of spending time with children lead me to take several education courses in college, but ultimately my true career passion is as a scientist. In light of this decision to pursue research full time, I miss working with children and am hoping to take on some babysitting. My experience is primarily with children 3+, but I'm open to infants as well. Thank you for considering me!
