About Malissa

I have a bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Juvenile Justice and experience as a daycare teacher, child welfare investigator, and Training Facilitator for Illinois child welfare professionals. I bring a strong understanding of child development, safety, supervision, and age-appropriate care, along with a nurturing and attentive approach. I'd describe myself as adventurous, resilient, and confident. I love working with kids because they're funny, full of personality, and constantly teach me to see the world from new perspectives. I've also been working with children since high school. I value clear communication and enjoy helping parents and caregivers. Since I work full time, I'm looking for occasional babysitting opportunities on evenings or weekends. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, paddleboarding, traveling, and working toward my yoga teaching certification. Above all, I want every child to feel safe, supported, and comfortable being themselves!
