About Makia

I grew up with pets and have them in my life, so pet care is second nature. At one point, I had five dogs at once: four seniors and a puppy. Managing them taught me so much about gentle senior care and puppy energy. I've lost my older dogs, and a family member took in another pup--a terrified, malnourished stray I rescued and nursed back to health. Now, my days revolve around my young Pomeranian, Buttercup. She's a tiny spark of pure energy who loves non-stop attention. She is trained, but we still handle accidents or mischief, so messes are no problem. I've regularly pet-sat for family, friends, and neighbors, and I feed local stray cats daily. On walks, distance is never an issue; my longest walks are up to three hours. I have lots of patience for dogs who take their time to sniff, and I even pushed my own pups in strollers for that long. If anything comes up, I stay calm and reach out right away to handle it together. I'd love to care for your pet!
