About Makenzie

I am a recent college graduate from Stephens College in Columbia, MO with a degree in Human Development with an emphasis in psychology. I have provided childcare for families in my community since the age of 13, but have recently had even more childcare experience with children with special needs by working at the Special Learning Center in Jefferson City, MO. I have loved working there as it allowed me to extend my passion for working with children! I would love to soon go to graduate school and pursue a career of occupational therapy. Until then I am looking to make a little extra money, and find a good family with children that I can help learn new things, explore, and grow. I am reliable, energetic, and truly love caring for children!

Makenize has been with our family for almost a year! The kids absolutely love her & so do we!! She's become apart of our family! We're so happy we found her on Care.com - during the pandemic last year we were so worried we wouldn't find someone to care for our baby (now almost 2 yo) and our big kids for before & after school care. She's always willing to go the extra mile; she has been able to even be there for last minute emergency care situations. We're so happy to have Makenzie as a part of our little family & excited for the years of memories we'll continue to make as she cares for our youngest until he's ready for school!
