About Makena

Hi, my name is Makena and I love working with children. If you are looking for a dependable, fun, loving, playful, creative, and patient person to care for your child/children, let's connect. My experience includes two years' with the City of Henderson's Safekey program, an after-school recreational enrichent program for elementary school students and the Battle Born Kids' program, an entertaining and enriching summer program for children ages 5-12. I am CPR certified and have first aid training. I love reading to children, playing games with them, listening to them, and providing a fun, physically and emotionally supportive environment. I have experience helping children with personal hygeine, maintaining cleanliness in their spaces, helping with homework, preparing and serving meals, and nurturing children through play, creativity, conversations, and activities.
