I am a very excited and passionate individual with a love for working with kids. I graduated from SDSU with a bachelors degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences and got a job as teacher at a preschool in LA. I taught there for two years as a lead teacher in the 2-3-year-old classroom. However, as we were a community based school, I also spent a big portion of my day with all of the children, aged 2-6 years old. Additionally, I have two years of experience working with elementary aged children at a Summer Camp. Since August, I've moved to Orange County and have been attending CU to earn my masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with the long term goal to become a Speech Language Pathologist after graduation! I am a very energetic individual with a love for safe fun. I particularly enjoy activities outdoors, imaginary play, arts and crafts and creating fun, new experiences based on the children's interests!

Makena is incredible! I've used her many times and she's now my go-to. Very reliable and engaging. When we came home the first time, every toy was pulled out and so I knew there was very little screen time and a lot of play time. Makena is also very calm and professional. She has a background in education and is used to dealing with a lot of children at once and probably stressful situations. I highly recommend Makena and trust her fully to take care of my little one!
