About Makeda

Hi! I'm Makeda, a caring childcare professional, proud mom of two (ages 14 and 8), and professional chef who loves working with children. Caring for children has always come naturally to me. From helping family and friends to working in daycare and classroom settings, I enjoy helping children learn, grow, and discover their personalities. I'm studying Early Childhood Education at Urban College and bring experience in mental health and behavioral support. I'm patient, compassionate, creative, and nurturing. As a chef, I also enjoy preparing delicious, kid-friendly meals. Outside of childcare, I love spending time with my husband and kids, making memories, and trying new things. To me, childcare is more than supervision. It's about building trust, encouraging curiosity, and making every child feel safe, valued, and cared for.
