About Makayla

I'm a career nanny and new mom who recently moved back to the area after several years of nannying in NYC. I have 10+ years of experience caring for children of all ages, including multiples and kids with special needs. I love nature, art, music, movement, being silly, learning, and teaching. During the beginning of the COVID pandemic, I was a live-in nanny for twin preschoolers, and I had the privilege of cultivating a curriculum and daily rhythm that prepared them for kindergarten. I'm deeply committed to the safety and social-emotional wellbeing of the children in my care. I'm CPR/first aid trained, a non-smoker, and pet friendly. I'm primarily, but not exclusively, looking for work that my 8-month-old could sometimes accompany me to. I'd really like for my son to spend time with other children as I continue doing the work I love, and I'm happy to offer a reduced, negotiable rate for the right fit.
