About Makayla

Hi! I really enjoy taking care of kids and finding fun ways to keep them happy, active, and engaged. I love playing outside, doing sports, playing board games, and coming up with little activities that keep them learning without it feeling like school. Supporting families and providing reliable, consistent care is my true passion. With five years of experience, I offer a patient and calm presence for children aged one to 11. I hold an associate's degree. I've worked with children with social emotional special education needs for five years in MCPS. I'm pretty easygoing, but I also understand how important it is for kids to have structure and feel safe. I'm comfortable caring for up to two children and I'm happy to help with travel when needed. I'll always respect your household rules and routines and make sure I'm doing things the way you're comfortable with. I'd love to get to know your family and be someone you feel comfortable trusting with your little ones.
