About Maisha

I'm not the type to write reviews, but for Maisha, I had to make an exception 🤩. My littles are on the spectrum and require a different approach than most children. I was skeptical at first because she hadn't had a lot of experience working with children with special needs, but her background in nursing is what put me at ease 😌. My oldest in particular is criminally shy, but Maisha was able to bring him out of his shell. They often do hands on activities such as collecting and identifying rocks (his special interest), dying spaghetti, and making slime. He's not the most talkative, but on days where I'm able to be home all day, he constantly asks if Maisha will be coming over 😮. She has definitely left a lasting impression on him and I'm forever thankful. My youngest on the other hand is my little ball of energy 😝. He's constantly "on" and requires a lot of attention. She is able to match his chaotic energy 😆 while also making sure my oldest doesn't feel left out. He even sometimes joins them 😲 in the more "tamer" activities such as dancing to Michael Jackson 💃and their spinning competitions. My partner and I also value coming home to a CLEAN home 🏠. Previous sitters have left our home a state of disarray because it wasn't in their "job description" 🙄, but Maisha employs the clean as you go method. My youngest is surprisingly the most organized out of my littles and loves helping her clean up. My oldest on the other hand prefers organized chaos and can be quite particular on how his belongings are handled. He has a habit of leaving things out and about and throwing a fit if they are moved. With time, Maisha has done what we couldn't and got him to keep his more explosive activities to his room. I haven't tripped over a lego set in months! 🤫 She has become a part of our family and even my extended family members have noticed. My cousin and sister in law have asked us to put them in contact with her and constantly hound us for "gatekeeping" her 😆. Sorry sis and cuz, but we don't want to share! LOL JK 🤣🤣
