About Mahelet

Hi! I'm a senior at the University of Oregon studying Family and Human Services with a minor in Global Health. I'm passionate about creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and be themselves. I have two years of childcare experience, including working with the Boys & Girls Club, and enjoy outdoor activities, sports, puzzles, and educational games. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, pet-friendly, and have reliable transportation. I'm patient, dependable, and attentive to each child's needs while helping maintain household routines and boundaries. I'm available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Since I'm currently in school, I'd ideally work with a family comfortable with me occasionally completing schoolwork while their child is occupied or resting. However, I understand children may need my full attention and am happy to prioritize them whenever needed. I'd love to support your family and become someone you can trust and rely on!
