About Maggie

I began my childcare experience in 6th grade, when I started babysitting for family friends. During my sophomore year of high school, I started working in the children's nursery at my church in the infants to 3-year-olds classroom where I gained experience in changing diapers, serving snacks while monitoring allergies, and teaching Sunday School lessons. During my time in undergrad at Linfield College, I helped lead a yearly choir camp for children ages 5 - 12. This helped me develop the skills of teaching music to students, which is definitely one of my passions! I am currently working towards my masters at Oregon State University in the Teach for Beaverton MAT program. I am student teaching in a 5th grade classroom in Beaverton and absolutely love it! I feel comfortable watching multiple children at a time and am able to tutor at all elementary levels. I love being around children and am passionate about teaching. I feel my skillset and background make me fit for this area of work.
