Hi there! I'm 29 years old and originally from Michigan! I'm a wilderness first responder and a professional nanny! I'm studying to be an herbalist and I also work at The People's Apothecary. Over the past 12 years I've acquired a lot of experience with every age, especially infants and toddlers. I've worked as a caregiver for kiddos with special needs, a treatment specialist for at risk youth, and an autism behavioral therapist. When I moved to Oregon, I spent alternating weeks backpacking in the woods as a wilderness therapy guide. After that, I was a preschool teacher The Bend Forest school and started nannying. My background is in child welfare. While providing care I emphasize on attunement, respect, boundaries, co-regulation, connection to nature, and building self confidence. I am passionate about learning, Mother Earth and being kind. Im looking forward to playing in the mud and building fairy houses with your littles!

Maddie was our nanny for almost two years and started with us during the very big transition of becoming a family of 4! She exceeded our expectations when caring for just our 2yr old one on one at first and confidently took on caring for the toddler and the newborn together once he arrived. She handled the sometimes challenging and constantly evolving dynamic between our boys with patience and kindness always. She taught our toddler to have a deeply held love for nature, to be curious about the plants and animals he encountered in the outdoors and also the importance of gratitude when interacting with the natural world. Our boys always lit up when they would see “nanny” coming through the door! She holds a very special place in our hearts and I wish we could have taken her with us when we moved to Portland! We have nothing but glowing reviews to share about Maddie. I’m so jealous of the next family that gets to know and work with her!
