About Madison

At 10 years old I started my passion for childcare. At the age of 15 I met my best friend with down syndrome , and it was then that I realized my love for the special needs community. I took my very best friend who has Down Syndrome to Homecoming and Prom for 3 years. It was one of the most rewarding and fun times I've ever experienced. I immediately jumped into volunteering for Camp PALS and the DSAJ for the past 3 years. Camp PALS has changed my life and perspective completely. Camp PALS is an organization that brings all the Down Syndrome community together. It is one on one with a camper and counselor that helps the individual with self-reliance, team work, and self worth. Fun has a huge role in it also. Since then I've wanted to broaden my exposure by independently taking care of Special Needs children. Through this camp, I've gained 30 new best friends every summer. I would love it, if you would consider me to take care of your child and to become an extended part of your family.
