I've worked as a Child and Youth Program Assistant for the US Army for over a year, and I'm certified through Virtual Lab School with 95 completed hours in the Infant & Toddler track - including safe environments, child abuse prevention & reporting, social-emotional development, cognitive development, health & safety, and family engagement. I take child safety seriously (safe sleep practices, emergency preparedness, injury response are all part of my training) and I genuinely love working with little ones - it's not just a job for me, it's something I'm actually trained for and care about doing well.
