About Madison

I have tutored elementary and middle school students in Reading, Writing, Math, Music, and Science. I'm a certified Early Education teacher, and have helped students achieve Kindergarten Readiness. I have also worked with the Tacoma school district Ready Readers program to tutor elementary ESL students. I have studied ASL and Spanish for 4 years, and can tutor in these areas too. I'm patient and creative, and approach tutoring with enthusiasm and understanding. I have a BA in child development, and experience working with kids that have cognitive, learning, and attention difficulties. I'm very familiar with developmentally appropriate practices in teaching, and can offer effective learning tools that meet children where they are to promote their learning and understanding. If your kiddo needs some extra help in school, or some extra help getting ready to start school, I would love to support them! I believe learning can and should be fun, and enjoy fostering a love for learning!
