About Madison

As a masters level school counseling student at JMU, I have already completed numerous courses regarding childhood development and have spent over 100 hours completing my practicum at an elementary school. As my program continues, I will receive over 300 hours of training in both high school and middle schools. Some of my previous work includes babysitting and a peer mentorship program. My peer mentorship position was through a local counseling agency where I was assigned a caseload and worked with several children ages 5-16. This position also allowed me to obtain certification in CPR and first aid.
