About Madelyn

I am recent graduate with my degree in social work looking for anything from occasional care to a more full time position. I have over a decade of experience in working with children; ranging from babysitting (infant-teen), summer camps, special education classrooms, adolescent support groups, and more. My dream is to eventually become a licensed art therapist and work with children to process feelings, experiences, and life through art making and expressive play. I like working with kids because it's always something new. I find their earnest curiosity and enthusiasm energizing and inspiring. I think it's incredibly rewarding to connect with kids, to earn their trust, and to become a positive influence in shaping their world. 3 words to describe my personality would be compassionate, inquisitive, and silly. In my spare time, I like to make art, play guitar, go to dance classes, watch movies, and get outside and into nature whenever possible.
