About Madeline

I'd describe my personality as creative and responsible yet also fun. I like working with kids because I feel I know how to make certain tasks engaging for them such as specific routines they need to follow or chores they need to do or even just getting homework done. For even younger children I feel I know how to keep them occupied and look for more creative outlets for them. I'm looking for a job where I can offer the most help for somebody and make things a little easier for them. I started working with kids 5 years ago at St. Clare's CCD program as a teaching assistant with the first and second graders. I worked at the Staten Island Academy summer camp with the 3 and 4-year-olds and sometimes other grades as well. From that job I started babysitting for other families from there including children ages 1-7. In my spare time, I like to read and paint. I feel I am a very creative person so I like finding new crafts to try. My skills include creativity, problem solving and compassion.
