About Madeline

I have been a middle school Science teacher for the last four years, and I have also supported students academically in Math and English classrooms during enrichment lessons. This past year, students in my classroom showed immense growth on our mid- and end-of-unit assessments, despite over a year of interrupted and virtual learning. From the 20-21 school year to the 21-22 school year, student mastery of material increased from below 50% to over 75% mastery. Beyond data, I observed students using appropriate academic language, having an inquisitive mindset about science phenomena, and showing excitement for the natural and scientific worlds in and outside of the classroom. STEM is an incredibly exciting field for students to explore and learn, but can often feel overwhelming in a fast-paced classroom.
