About Madeline

Hi, my name is Maddie! I am a first year Occupational Therapy Student at SUNY Downstate School of Health Professions. This past May, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University this past May, with a B. S. in Behavior and Health with a minor in Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am thrilled to be back in New York! Studying Occupational Therapy provides me a great foundation for childcare, working with individuals with disabilities, and tutoring. I worked this past year as an ABA Therapist for children with Autism ages 3-12 and I have worked as a therapeutic recreation aide for four years with individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages. Additionally, I have shadowed Pediatric Occupational Therapists (OT) and OTs in a hospital setting, and was a Support Worker in a day program for adults with disabilities and for a child with autism. I also have substantial experience babysitting, petsitting, and as a housekeeper.
