About Madeline

Hi! My name is Madeline and l am currently studying psychology at SUNY New Paltz. I earned an Associate of Science in Human Services from Dutchess Community College. I am passionate about child development and believe that it truly takes a village when raising a child. In high school I cared for my younger sister (9 years younger) and in a paid role, two children ages 2 and 4. The coursework for my associate's degree included two separate four month internships. The first was an afterschool program for children ages 5-11. I helped with homework and educational activities, art and crafts, and supervised outside play. I was also available for one-on-one support to children with emotional and behavioral struggles. The second internship was at a head start pre-school where I engaged with the students during their small group and free play time and helped with serving lunch and cleaning up. My other passions include conservation work and music. I look forward to connecting with you!
