About Maddy

I grew up in a large family frequently babysitting younger cousins, nieces, and nephews. I have always loved working with children and have a desire to have a family of my own someday. I have worked and volunteered at summer camps my entire life, helping out with music, crafts, games and activities, and being a camp counselor in charge of several school-aged children at once. I also have experience working in the Foster Care system, where I worked closely with special needs and behaviorally challenged children, acting as their primary caretaker for the duration of each shift. I recently graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with my bachelor's degree in English and with a minor in Philosophy. I am planning on going to graduate school in the future, but for now I am hoping to take a break from the education system and enjoy a slightly slower-paced life. On my free time I like to read, paint, play the piano, and do basically anything outdoors. I lived out of a van this summer!
